“Munts dl altonn”: Three Weeks to Experience Autumn in Alta Badia
From valley floors to Dolomite peaks, Alta Badia transforms into a stage for authentic experiences. From September 14 to October 5, the “Munts dl altonn” program invites visitors to embrace autumn through hikes, tastings, yoga sessions, and immersive activities among the vibrant foliage.
Each event is designed as a sensory journey, where scents, silence, and panoramic views blend into a slow and mindful rhythm. Activities are organized by altitude bands, offering a gradual ascent from lowland forests to high alpine ridges.
Experiences in the Lower Mountains
In the woods and gentle trails, autumn reveals its most intimate soul. The undergrowth is rich with the scent of moss and resin, while leaves turn golden and crimson. Walking slowly becomes a contemplative act—a way to rediscover the forest’s hidden life.
Walk to the Santa Croce Chapel — September 25
A quiet path through the Armentara meadows leads to the Santa Croce chapel, a spiritual pilgrimage site where nature and tradition meet at the foot of the mountains.
Mushroom Discovery Day — September 28
At Ütia Bioch mountain hut, a mycologist unveils the secrets of mushrooms, while the resident chef prepares creative and flavorful dishes featuring these forest treasures.
High-Altitude Excursions
Geological Trek in Puez-Odle — October 2
Led by an expert geologist, this special hike explores the geological history of the Dolomites, reading the traces carved by time in the UNESCO-listed Puez-Odle Nature Park.
Vallon Via Ferrata at Sunset — September 27
